Why not come Clogging?

We're always looking for new dancers or musicians. If you've never danced North-West Morris before, don't worry, we'll teach you everything you need to know in our winter practice sessions. We welcome both male and female dancers.

Interested? Then email contact@basingclog.org.uk for details.

What's it like being a dancer?

If you're a dancer, you'll normally attend a weekly practice where you'll be taught the dances and practice them. Once you've learned them well enough there will be opportunities to perform them with the rest of the side.  It takes a while to learn a few dances and you won't be invited to perform until you're ready. Don't worry if you're a total beginner, there's plenty of help and support to hand.

What's it like being a musician?

If you are a musician, like the dancers you'll attend a weekly practice where you'll learn the tunes that accompany the dances and practice them. We mostly play tunes in the keys of D, G and occasionally C to suit folk instruments. If you're not sure if your instrument is suitable please contact us using the details on the contact page of this website.

We are a family side and children over 11 are welcome as long as accompanied by a participating parent.
